Prior to administering anything, homeopathic or conventional to anyone's diet, pets especially, we feel that personal health history must be considered, and a medical professional should be consulted. There are many instances where even the most "harmless" additive has had contraindications and caused more harm than good. We believe everyone here is responsible and understands that, but it is important to re-state.

Meibomian Gland Dysfunction

Postby MossyMermaid » 11 Aug 2015, 21:43

arrrgghh! just been diagnosed :gloomy:

Can anyone offer some help or advice please on how to bring this to heel (if it can't be healed) Yes I know, what a bad pun

I'm going to do the warm compresses on the eye, and up my intake of omega 3.

But is there anything else I can do, do you think/know?

Thank you very much

Use a warm rag soaked in hot Eyebright tea over your eyes for 15 minutes. Then massage your lids for 5 minutes starting from the nose going outward towards the cheeks. Do this for 6 weeks just before bedtime. You can get Eyebright from here: http://www.starwest-botanicals.com/cate ... AsXX8P8HAQ

The eyebright will help expectorate the gunk from the clogged pores which the heat opens up.

Hope this helps.
