Sacred Sites on Skye?

Postby Tanja » 15 Jan 2014, 12:53

Hello from Germany!

I'm planing my June Holidays. I want to discover the Isle of Skye by foot and by tent.
Is there any information on sacred sites on Skye available? I am looking for a calm and peaceful way to learn about the Nature of Skye.
... Some wild coasts will follow :-).

Could you help?
Many thanks and blessings

Most dear is fire to the sons of men,
most sweet the sight of the sun;
good is health if one can but keep it,
and to live a life without shame. (Havamal 68)

Skye is pure magic. You'll love it whatever you do.

It would be worth checking out the Gaelic College for events whilst you are there: http://www.smo.uhi.ac.uk/en/ Music, art, culture, craft and history. Lots happens at this dynamic centre, and it may even be worth planning your trip around specific events.
