ok! Here are the squares put together with a narrow border. I was thinking of putting red awen quilting in the plain squares but I quite like it as it is. What do you think?

I think it looks wonderful! And the five squares are perfect for the design, it's lovely like this and the idea with quilting something in the in-between squares is perfect!
Warm greetings Brianna

Very exciting! I'm just about to post off the quilt to Philip with this letter

Dear Philip, I'm really pleased to be able to send you this quilt at last. It all began in January 2008 with Brianna's post "How to make a Druid Quilt" on the OBOD messageboard. She was keen for people to make a square for a quilt on the them of "Druidry and Nature".
She said" In the end we could give it to the office of the "Chosen Chief" of OBOD (whoever it may be at that point in time) as a thank you for this forum and all the work he is doing to raise a pro-nature consciousness and for sponsoring pro-nature organisations and so on.And the Chosen Chief could bring it with him to Gatherings and hang it up on the wall, maybe it will be a source of inspirations for others who see it."
Quite a few of us were interested and the squares were send to Brianna, but life happened and she wasnt able to get them put together. After a gap of 6 years they came to me and the quilt is done!

I love it that there are squares from around the world - USA (Ivy Mist), Canada (Silverleaf-Willow),Australia (Aurora), Germany (Brianna) and the UK (Oakapple).

So Thank You again for the forum and your good works, and for encouraging our creativity through the OBOD course.

Blessings from the needleworkers!
Caroline (Oakapple).

I have put labels on the back of the quilt with Briannas aims, and showing who made each square, although the photos are not very clear.

Hi Oakapple,

it is really gorgeous and I'm so happy you did that for us square-contributors - thank you again so much, it came together really great with the perfect number of squares for the design and also I find it an amazing coincidence that there is one per country!

I hope Philip will like it :)

Thanks
again

The quilt has arrived safely, I just received this lovely letter from Philip.

Dear Caroline,

The box arrived.
I opened it.
What a surprise and delight!
It’s lovely - thank you!
It’s great that there are flaps to help hang it and I shall bring it to the Glastonbury Gathering and hang it in the hall!
Each square is beautiful and it’s great to feel how they have all come from around the world.
If you are in touch with the makers and Brianna do thank everybody. I’m now going to photograph it and blog & FB it!

Many blessings to the needle-workers!
