Elliott, my apple tree, only produced about 1/2 as many apples as last year....it would be a hard, hungry winter if I had been depending on ny apple crop.

Great question: one that would be worth asking every morning!

Currently I feel like I'm a garden that's just been dug over and I'm waiting to see what sprouts.

Thx

I've been sowing questions and
I've been harvesting questions!

Which is really fine and dandy to me.

I am sowing the seeds of a new life in a different part of the country.
I am harvesting the tools, tips and techniques to keep me sane as I go through the process of buying and selling the houses!

I am sowing wishes, dreams, hopes and desires.

Each morning, I harvest the new day the Gods have blessed me with, and for good or ill, I'm going to take it. Because I don't know when the harvest will stop, or what it'll be like tommorow.

I am sowing careful steps on my own way after loosing track a bit the last few years

I am harvesting love and understanding from the 'one' and being overruled by the 'other'

(and I am learning to keep to myself  )

I am sowing dedication
I am harvesting strength
Hedge-bandit, song-bomb, dart-beak, the wren
hops in the thicket, flirt-eye; shy, brave,
grubbing, winter's scamp, but more than itself–
ten requisite grams of the world's weight.

Now that Nature lies dormant, and we seem to get closer and closer to a new sowing season, I would like to bring this thread back to the circus :)

I am in a situation where I'm having problems getting enough work and of course that makes less money in. I need money in. Really.
So I will sow a few numbers and hopefully harvest a lot more

What are you planning to sow and harvest this year?

I hear you illion... we to are a bit in a dry spell considering the cashflow.

Last night though it dawned on me that while we need a base amount for mortgage, insurance etcetera and we still generate that somehow each month, which is really a wonderful thing we don't appreciate enough. For "buying" a nice life it itsn't enough anymore though. It made me realise we are actually very blessed with out little plot of land, our chickens and a few farmers selling organic produce for very fair prices down the road. The slow business gives me time to pursue a more selfsufficient life, a more authentic life.

So I'm sowing this year gratitude and wish to harvest the guts to 1) admitting that we don't need as much cash as we do and 2) to take this moment and finally live the way I always wished.
Three sounds one should treasure:
the whisper of the wind through the leaves
the songs of one's heart
the callings of the universe
