~ Druid/Paladin Video Game ~

Postby PleiadianDreams » 21 Dec 2016, 19:08

Hey people in 2004/2006 I played a Massive Multi-Player Online Roleplaying Game, in 2006 I quit and in 2016 Downloaded the Free Demo. I uploaded some Pictures of the Free Demo, in where I make friends with a Highest Level Catdruid.

Here are Pictures from 2005/2006;
https://plus.google.com/u/0/collection/0pSpME

The Uploaded Pictures are of my Night Elf Druid and Human Paladin, the Elven Buddy of mine can Transform into a Dragon and fly all over the place. Awesome adventure, the reason why I quit Video Games in 2006 is because I don't like violence.

Now I just go on Adventures with the Free to Download Version.

One of the reasons I play video-games is so that I can lash out my aggressiveness, my anger and my frustrations on virtual monsters, than doing it on real people. I think that is indeed better for myself and everyone else.

I have a lot of Frustration, Video Games made me Frustrated because of Imbalances etc. I made 75.000 Honorable Kills in 2005/2006,then decided to become Pro-Non Violence. The game I am playing now, the Developers are scared of the good guys.

I knew this in 2004/2006.

I played a Paladin 2004/2005, there was this trick called Divine Intervention. Which would safe a Team Mate and Kill the Caster, I discovered that if you put up Divine Shield then would Divine Intervention Not Kill the Caster and still safe the Team Mate. I told this to the Game Master, they nerved Divine Intervention. So I pulled up Divine Shield and caste Divine Intervention on Team Mate, I died. Then quit playing Paladin, then played a Night Elf.

The Good Guys (Alliance) lost all Battlegrounds on every server, so the developers are for the bad guys. You may think of this as being a theory, but it's still happening today. I played a Good Guy Werewolf, but the starting base is a freaking internament camp. There is no way to leave your homeworld and every city is a ghost town, some kind of quest which is bugged with lots of players since 2014 allows people to teleport away.

I had this dream about N. Korea, this dream was like the Werewolf homebase. The quest was bugged with me, everything turned into a ghost town totally abandoned by players.

I want to make a video game.

Games always evolve to keep it interesting and challenging. Sometimes they get it wrong and tilt the balance too far in one direction. Devs aren't taking sides, although it can seem like that until someone beats the challenge. Players can be inventive and use things in ways other than intended, like your trick with Divine Intervention, or using the wall trick against Absolute Virtue in Final Fantasy XI (it could get you banned.) The DRK/NIN dual Kraken Club Zerg against AV got nerfed at relativistic speed. They're just trying to keep the game challenging.
May the long time sun shine upon you,
All love surround you,
And the pure light within you,
Guide your way on.

I met my boyfriend playing WoW :) He was Alliance and I was the co-GM of a large Horde Roleplay guild. I went over to Alliance for a little break, met him... and never really looked back, lmao.

He got me into PVP as a Shadow Priest, man that was fun. Now in Legion I play Disc.

We also muck about in GW2.

Gives us something to do together while he's stationed far away :(

I love WoW -- I love the storyline! -- and my main is a draenei death knight (frost spec). Of course I have other characters, including a few druids (worgen and troll). But I love death knights well, to death. ;)

I'm still in love with Runescape... there's less seriousness, many funny realworld references and tongue in cheek things and a very developed gameplay. And there are nice references too, like a crystal city made by elfs named Priffdinas (referencing Dinas Affaraon) but also npc-druids like "Poletax" (polltax) and other, mainly british, cultural references.

I never got into WoW because it was so very hard to play casually.

I also never really got into WoW. My first MMO was [ur=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryzom]Saga of Ryzom[/url], later renamed Ryzom, and I also played Guild Wars when it came out fervently, and all the campaigns and expansion. I also played City of Villains, Lord of the Rings Online, Warhammer Online, etc. I also played some Free-to-play asian MMOs. I'm currently playing Final Fantasy 14 and Blade & Soul, and I'd like to dabble again in Ryzom. I have a small house with a garden in Final Fantasy 14. I like the atmospheric asian fantasy setting of Blade & soul, and the game has 3 caster classes, caster classes have always been my favorites to play. And Ryzom has the most beautiful world ever done in games and MMOs, the most living breathing world: day and night setting, seasons setting, weather patterns settings, animals migrate in autumn and come in spring, animals eat plants and pee, predators hunt and kill preys, some resources can only found at certain moments, etc.

Seeing those pics of WOW brings memories back :) I've been a gamer since the early 1990's, online with "The Realm", "Ultima Online", "Dark Age of Camelot" and many more. In fact, it was whilst I was a guild leader on UO that I came to Druidry in real life :) I had created a guild priesthood (we were heavy RPers) and one of my members gave me some info she had found on druids and their ritual. At that time, I didn't know druids were anything but ancient history - how wrong I was. In the years that followed there were little unseen nudges from various sources until I decided to seek more information on a religious path I didn't know existed. And that's how I came to find the OBOD website - and the rest is history :-)

Was in late beta testing of WOW but decided it was too cartoony and instead bought Guild Wars. After 6 months I was bored and started playing WOW. In 2007 I was leading one of the large RP alliance guilds on Ravenholdt with my NightElf Druid (loved its cat and raven form). Since then have had various breaks from the game but returned with Legion. My alliance guild is in hibernation now and last year I started a horde RP guild on Argent Dawn, felt I would like a change after 10 years of alliance - but the game has changed so much that I've got tired of the constant race to get this Boss or that gear etc. that I unsubscribed couple of months ago. Still love the old lands and quests though, and did enjoy Legion up to the point when I realised that the fantastic solo quest line for character and class still had to conclude by joining dungeon groups in order to take down bosses. Pity.

I'm still gaming, but more on games I can jump in and out of i.e. COD:MW2 & 3 or the creative games such as Rising World (similar to Minecraft but so much better), Life is Feudal and Far Cry (Primal and Wildlands).

Never got into WOW but then it was several generations younger then the games I played. I still have a 105 necromancer on EverQuest I played the first version when it first came out. We played several different ones after, Shiya, DDO, Neverwinter and such. I have always found the games that have PVP or good player races vs bad player races to become unbalanced eventually. Shiya was the worst, what happens is more people play evil races for some reason and they are spending more on the game, "in game power ups, boost and equipment and such" the developers will always cater to where their money is coming from. Everquest really did not have a PVP system you could play all races with the other races and not pvp unless your wanted to duel and both parties had to accept. They went wrong as in like real life people become greedy, the online market places prices became super inflated. Elite guilds would camp boss mobs so only their guild got the drops to keep all other guilds and players weaker then they are ect. Ruin the game for everyone.. I have been RPGing since Ultima Online way back in the day, being an IT professional in real life and surrounded by computers and servers my entire day for over 30+ years.

@Piping Druid - I remember UO well, having transferred from The Realm with my guild (Eternal Knights of the Circle). We started off on Catskills server, then moved to Europa when that came online. However, the first UO server I tried was Atlanta - remember getting lost in the wilds, dying and spending a couple of hours as a ghost trying to find a healer. When I eventually got ressed, 2 red names came and killed my character. By this time I was so frustrated I typed something along the lines of "Great, what's the point!" They must have realised I was a complete newbie, ressed me, gave me back my stuff and actually escorted me back to Britannia. So it proves you can't judge someone by how they look. :old:

I'm not a PvP player, but some MMOs make PvP fun and Guild Wars was one of them. I found Alliances Battles more fun because the other other forms of PvP required to have specific classes and builds. So you could go at Alliances Battles with any classes and builds you wanted. And playing with the mesmer was even more fun, it's definitively the most original class ever created. You could punish players for their actions, disable their skills, interrupt them, blind them, toss them degen, etc. In one of the fights the same player (warrior/monk) kept coming at me and I kept killing him, he was not very smart. In another fight another (warrior/monk) came at me tried to attack me so I used similar attack and he just ran away, he was very mart, and I started to chase him to finish him off saying in chat "FEAR THE MESMER!!!", but he managed to run away before I could kill him, Warrior had a running skill. After that, I switched my second class to Assassin for their running skill so next time I can chase my targets to finish them off. But yes, when you face a mesmer, smart thing to do is not to do anything and run.
