I only know it from the references to it in all sorts of geeky humor I enjoy. Never played before so, not hindered by any knowledge, I'm game

the whisper of the wind through the leaves
the songs of one's heart
the callings of the universe

I'd be up for this. Veteran player here.

For those wondering how a session of D&D actually goes there are some good shows of playgroups that came out this year. I recommend Critical Role:

First episode the sound editing has some issues, but it gets better.

The Three ultimate questions of a true gamer's universe:
1) Who's going to DM?

2) Which version? (3.5 anyone?)
3) I'm not going to have to be the party's healer again, am I? :caduceus: :anx:

This topic has brought back lots of old memories, playing D & D with my brothers when we were all tiny! I still have some of our adventure books. Beyond the Crystal Cave, The Ghost Tower of Inverness, The Isle of Dread, Curse of Xanathon. Our character notes are long gone. I remember my characters included an Elf, various fighters and magic users and I still remember one of my main characters, a Ranger called Harrison (after Harrison Ford of course!!) Many an hour spent in wonderful fantasies!
