online OBOD course

Postby Markjones » 22 Dec 2015, 10:58

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right place but I was not sure where else to post it.

Has anyone ever thought about/started work on creating an online version of the course?

I am a software developer by trade. Well, the truth is I am a software architect, and don't do much coding day to day anymore. But it is very much a creative pursuit. So some times I look a reason to build a new app, to try out new technologies and concepts.

I was thinking how easy it would be to build a system with a monthly subscription, or even a pay-as-you go model, that could include every gwers. It could deliver both the textual and audio content that already exists easily, and it allows room for expansion.

My thoughts are along the lines of separate records for each triad, practicum, eisteddfod etc, with each one associated with a particular gwers (imagine a relational database if you can). you could pay for each gwers individually as you want, to gain access to the triad etc in that gwers, but in addition, you can easily navigate back to stuff from previous gwers. I was also thinking how easy it would be to add recording for each meditation suggested in the gwers. Or also, to play images or even video in the future. All organized through a nice UI.

Has anyone else thought about this?

I hope not :) However, the best way to find out is to contact the Order here:

perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.
Let him step to the music he hears,
however measured or far away."

It might also be worth looking at the FAQ "Is the course available in a downloadable format?" The answer is a bit too long to be worth cutting and pasting so follow the link to the FAQ page ... out-course and scroll down to find this question/answer.
