TV interview

Postby malcolmb » 09 Mar 2017, 21:23

What a fascinating day! I have spent much of it talking via email to a TV company who wanted to interview me. Me? Had they heard my forthright views on Druidry or about my growing Druid Grove on my little Isle? No! :gloomy:

Some of you who have listened to my music may recall I often use a software generated voice for the vocals until I can get hold of a real singer. It's called Vocaloid which is based on the voice of a real singer but still doesn't sound exactly like a real singer - but it is not bad and new, better voices are being developed all the time. So, out of a host of users across the World, they chose me to talk to! And I said (politely!) NO!

Vocaloid has a huge following across the World involving both composers and fans. But it is a young people's genre. The last thing it needs is to be represented on TV by an old fossil like me! And I am sure the software makers and users would agree.

But it was nice to be asked!

(But they are using me as a technical advisor so perhaps I will get a mention in the credits!) :yay:

Ah, those halcyon days of yore when "foreign" meant over the next hill and you never had to worry about in which part of the garden the dog had buried the remote. Mind you, it is such a rarity for anyone to actually ask me what my view is that I was very tempted! :old: And the opportunity to bore the whole of the UK instead of just a few long suffering friends was very tempting! But I am sure you are right. Those Bards of old must have become very fed up with people rushing up to them with cleft stick ready to disseminate by speedy runner the latest tuning sensation. But in those days there would always be a handy Deity around to smite the rudely inquisitive. How I yearn for those days! :handsoff:
