Victory for buzzards

Postby kukl » 30 May 2012, 18:49

Really pleased to here that the planned 'study' of ways to control buzzard population, by such means as wrecking nests, has been dropped after protests by RSPB & environmental groups. Apparently game wardens want to protect pheasant chicks. Protect pheasants so they can then be shot by paying guns. Well done to everyone who stood against this lunacy.
And I dreamed I saw the bombers riding shotgun in the sky, and they where turning into butterflies above our nation. Joni Mitchell

Brilliant, I love to watch them soaring over our village, they have only been here 4 or 5 years and it would have been terrible if they disappeared again particularly through a man-made cause.

I love Buzzards, when i was a boy we only saw buzzards when we went to the west Country, now they are everywhere, this is a good sign that shows the countryside is healthy.
