eco friendly cat litter

We've just adopted two rescued cats (pics will follow in the pics thread eventually) and I'm considering switching them off the generic plant litter that crumbles to dust and onto a sustainably-sourced one that clumps.

The two options I have so far are World's Best and Eco Care. Eco Care uses FSC-approved virgin pine rather than waste products. Does that matter?

World's Best is made from corn of unknown origin and quite a bit more expensive.

UK supplier suggestions only please, worldwide opinions on sustainability welcome.

I use this:
http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/cat_ ... est/411249

it's very economic, if you thoroughly fill the litterpans to start with you can get about a month of daily scooping and sometimes a bit of refilling out of it before you need to change the whole lot. This works for me with threee cats using two kingsize litterboxes. The waste might be flushable but I put it in the local green bin for professional composting. Some times I dig a few nice stinky clumps into the garden to protect my plants from moles, voles and rabbits though ;)
All catlitter does track a bit though, but this is easily sweeped up...

I worry that the worlds best is made with GMO-corn btw.
