Postby Stone » 03 Mar 2016, 19:05

Hi All

Have just spotted this sub forum! Please can you help me?

I would like to know the Celtic for 'New Ravens'. I am in Essex (UK) and would like the Celtic that would have been used here if possible?

I would really appreciate your help :)

Thank you and best wishes

Hi Stone,

Nice to meet you! :hiya:

I'm not sure which flavour of Celtic would have been spoken in Essex, and I suppose it may have been different at different times. I'm not a historian, sorry.
In modern Welsh I think cigfrain newydd is correct (I am still a learner :) ) and that might be pronounced keeg-vr-eye-n neh-with.
