Calm

Postby winding_branch » 12 Jun 2008, 18:00

Hi all,

My hamster died on Wednesday age 2 1/2 his name was Calm. We buried him outside in a big pot on my doorstep as we don't have a garden. I'm going to put some flowers in it. He went in his sleep which I preffered to the usual vet trip. He looked so peaceful but it left me numb. I couldn't bare the space on the unit so a couple of days later we took in two rescue Roborovski's Mum & baby. I wanted to do something nice in return for what I'd lost.

Then the bombshell I'm allergic to rats so we had to re-home Casabian & Darcy our two boys via the local pet shop rescue centre. I just feel empty now & awful about it, but I had no choice they triggered my asthma & changing rooms with them didn't help. Such a bad week!

I know how you feel - It is such a joy to have a pet and so painful when they die. - Saphera
