Well today we started planting trees on the property with a sacred mission to add to the beauty a sacredness that is already present. We have three acres with many old oak, maple, buckeye, tulip and pine trees. Today in celebration of my birthday which was April 3rd we planted and Italian Plum tree!
We are using permaculture principles and planting nutrient accumulators (yarrow, nasturtium, beans) , insectary plants (dill, comfrey) as well as ground covers (Strawberries) and bee attractants (Bee balm) around the tree in a 10 ft diameter circle around the tree.
It was so memorable blessing the soil, tree and water. I pray that the tree is there for generations to come.
Yours truly, under the Trees.

Most dear is fire to the sons of men,
most sweet the sight of the sun;
good is health if one can but keep it,
and to live a life without shame. (Havamal 68)
