Bard Circle Symbol in Signature

Post by Sandanfire »

Okay, I've seen many forum signatures that contain the bardic symbol and am trying to figure out how to do that. I don' t see where I can add a picture or image (easily) to my own signature, and I've perused the forum-usage topics but can't seem to find the how-to there, either.

Am I allowed to have this symbol in my signature (I'm VERY new), and if so, how to I get it there, please? Thoughts?

Thank ya.

Peace.

I find the chiming sound of a halo ringing around hornlets strangely soothing and comforting. :D

Dear Corbinaine,
I too would love to have the Bardic Blue Awen in my signature, as I am new too, but I cannot seem to get the above link to work. Do you think it is because I am using an iPad?
Any suggestions would be welcome.

Not that I'm the expert here - that would be Selene - but I tried adding another one to my signature and it works fine.
Ideas anyone??
As Selene says below the links: sometimes it simply doesn't work...

Hi again,
Sorry for my ignorance, I have found the code and copied it, but when I try and add it to my signature edit in my profile it just copies the link details! I have managed to do my Avatar ok. Am I doing it wrong?

Hello there,

I have just PM'd Selene about this. Thanks for the input Corbiniane.

Cheers,

Heddwen.

It's a little more complicated than (IMO) it ought to be. Here's the post that goes through the procedure: https://messageboard.druidry.org/viewto ... 25&t=24494

If that doesn't work, please let me know! The IT folks made some changes recently and not everything seems to be working as it once did.

I don’t know if this should have a new thread of its own so will post it here unless someone says otherwise.

Are the grade badges reserved for those who have completed a grade or can you put one in your signature if you’re working on that grade? I’m still working on the bardic grade but would love to have the badge on my signature. I put it on there and then thought maybe I shouldn’t display it until I’ve completed the course so took it off. Is there protocol/precedent for this? I tried to find a mention of it on the guides but only found how to put it on and this thread.

Working on.
Though I was halfway through before I felt comfortable attaching the badge, same as I called myself "bard in training" or 'trainee bard" until I was (almost) finished. There are no rules and you do as you see fit!

You're welcome to put it on your signature now if you so wish to JasAcken. Go for it!

I see that you now have in in your signature :)

I think it is nice to show the badges as soon as we start working on a grade, because I think it is all about the journey, not the destination :cloud9:

Thanks! It really made me happy to include it! I guess my thought was that it might have been a mark of what’s been completed, but I like what you’re saying about the journey!

Thanks again!
