In each of us, there lies a divine connection to a power more powerful than hate or violence. Today is the day to attune to that power and use it on behalf of peace on earth :terra:

I am afraid of the ignorance in myself and the rest of man...I am trying to change for the better, day by day, I am afraid of what or world is changing into yet realise that "the wheel continues to turn" and is mostly out of my control. ~~~~sigh~~~~ if things could just be simpler....

Peacelilly :dryadia:
And when you crush an apple with your teeth, say to it in your heart:
'Your seeds shall live in my body,
And the buds of your tomorrow
shall blossom in my heart,
And your fragrance shall be my breath,
And together we shall rejoice through all the seasons.

I'm scared of loosing my eyes/sight. Not seeing beauty and colour.

I share the same fear, Alosel.

I'm also afraid of a painful or premature death. I'm not afraid of the actual being dead part, but the manner of my death or dying before I've achieved all my goals scares me.

I'm afraid I won't feel the joy in life I felt prior to my daughter's terminal diagnosis. I am afraid of not being able to love the gift of my life with my whole heart.

jeank...

May the light of love and devotion
shine brightly in your heart.
May the light of understanding
shine in your mind.
May the light of harmony
glow in your home.
May the light of service
shine forth ceaselessly from your hands.
May the light of peace
emanate from your being.
May your presence
light the lamps of love and peace wherever you go.

not making my important decision in time
missing the moment to decide the course of a very lovely life... and therefore veering off onto a very dark and squallid and short sad lonely little tangent

Oooh, decisions! Some of them require the courage of jumping off of a cliff. I wish you the best, djinn.

Thank you Twig!
I like the cliff-metaphore very much, and this would be a seriously big one!
But is it the right one or the fake one...? I know, you never know until you jump.

I've heard it said that there are no wrong decisions, because whatever you decide, you learn something. I'm not sure I buy that, though! I've made many wrong desicions, and I'm still not wise!.

:-)
Er, well, if you learn something everytime you make a mistake, the only thing you can hope for is to get into the exact same situation another time so you can at least apply what you learned the other time around!!!

I'm good at finding repeat situations, not so good at applying what I (supposedly) have learned!

Wow so many things such little time! :???: I am scared of spiders and clowns in a very embarrassing way. I am so scared of loosing my mind and being in a mental hospital. I had to visit a friend there and it scares me so so much. Being a hindrance to someone due to loosing control of my mind or body. I am scared of people these days. I don't like crowds so much and just their ignorance scares me and their lack of compassion. I don't hide form it though just wary I guess. I am scared of failing in life. By not learning life lessons and not achieving what it was I am meant too. I am scared of always feeling on my own even when surrounded by those I love and being an outsider forever. Loosing my family especially my Mum as she is the most inspiring person could hope to meet.

I fear 3 things: Dying in a fire or drowning or outliving my children.

I fear spiders don't know why but they just look scary lol, something happening to people who are close to me, rejection and teenagers who hang around in gangs coursing trouble.

I have come to realize I have fears that throw other fears off balance. I'm afraid of failure, but because I've been victim to the pushy "You're not good enough" treatment, I'm afraid of success as well. I'm afraid of having nothing accomplished in my life but I'm also afraid of doing too much and burning out. I'm afraid of abandonment and also afraid I'll push people away and force myself alone. I have a slight fear of losing the rest of my eyesight and becoming completely blind, but at the same time, I would embrace total blindness over our visually over-stimulated world. I have a slight hearing deficiency and I'm afraid of becoming completely deaf and losing the ability to hear music or spoken word or the soft and subtle sounds of nature. Since I have no depth perception, and also due to the fact I was nearly forced on one as a child, I'm afraid of downward escalators. I sometimes can handle going up them, but it takes being with a person or group of people I trust. I can't do any direction of escalator alone yet. Lastly, I'm afraid of being alone inside a running car for too long for fear it might move or do something I couldn't control. Come to think of it, I don't like being in the car with an erratic driver either for fear of an accident or injury. I've been in some minor seat-jerker's but I don't like those much either.
