Gaelic mhor /mor is an adjective, combined as a noun in "mormaor".
Norse Maere "praise" is the name of an ancient temple, and Irish tea.mhra means "isolated eminence", tea.mhrach is "Tara (tea:place). parliament".
"Mur" is "palace.house.wall"
Saxon "maere God" means "great.famous".
So my q. is : did Scotland have "Mor" as the name of a place in ancient tradition, or indicating government or religion?
