Scottish gaelic in Argentina.........

Post by Florence » 09 Aug 2007, 00:12

We have a choir in Buenos Aires that sings scottish folkloric songs exclusivelly in gaelic. The name of the choir is Ceolraidh and I sang with them for a year aproximatdly. In my case I had to leanr phonetics but some members do speak gaelic and the creator of it studyied in Scotland though he was born here. He has scottish ancestors and he plays bagpipe also. If you want to know more about them there's a site
They teach gaelic too at the Saint Andrew's Presbiterian church downtown Buenos Aires.
Watch the stars when you are homesick
Be a dream chaser no matter how things are
Search for Light when it's dark and cloudy
and be always happy at all events
because you're a manifestation of love
and peace is you birthright
