Are there any OBODies in Cork city (or closeby)?

Postby Merel » 11 May 2015, 18:48

Hi Everyone :hiya: ,

I am Merel (36 years old, Bardic grade) and my husband and I might be moving to Ireland (Cork) in 7 weeks. I am in love with Ireland sinds 2004 (we are from the Netherlands), but I must say that I am quite scared to take this big step. I was wondering if there are any OBODies in Cork (city) with whom we could get acquainted? :shrug: :shake:

Thanks!
Merel

Have you checked here : http://www.druidry.org/community/groups ... nd-ireland although it only lists a group in County Wicklow.

Or you could also write to Touchstone...
Most dear is fire to the sons of men,
most sweet the sight of the sun;
good is health if one can but keep it,
and to live a life without shame. (Havamal 68)

I'm about an hour North in Tipperary and currently studying the Bardic course.

There's a woman in Midleton, who's also a Bard and a Gardnerian priestess. She often does open circles. Not sure if it's ok to link here, but feel free to PM me and I can link you to the circle details! :)

I don't know if Merel is still around. I replied to her post as I'm in West Cork, near Bandon but never heard anything

I can't reply to your PM Fire Oak as you have private messaging disabled.

Thanks Heddwen, I have read that, just access the forum somewhere other than my gwersi are, so need to sort that out to quote that line needed. I have the CDs in the car, but not Gwers 3! Go figure! :D I will get around to it I'm sure! Thank you. :)

Hi merel , I'm not sure you and your husband got to cork. I was visiting friends in kinsale and managed to avoid the 25 floods in cork area. I'm also studying bardic course and enjoying it very much. What I love about it is the connection through ritual it gives you to the earth. I live in South dublin. If anyone within 50 radius interested in setting up a seed group let me know ... I'm very eager . Blessings to you all . John
