Ogham Translation and Understanding

Greetings One and All!

I am fairly new to OBOD, and as such have a great deal to learn. With that being said, this posting has a two-fold purpose: One to acquire and understand a translation from English to Gaelic/Celtic and from there to Ogham the phrase "I had forgotten" (Or perhaps guidance in obtaining such) And Two: to better comprehend such a process and how the beautiful and intriguing language of Ogham, while seeming to not possess all the letters of the English alphabet, still articulates and communicates exquisitely.

I thank any and all in advance for their wisdom and guidance in this quest.

Sarah

Hmmmm  a tricky few questions
to acquire and understand a translation from English to Gaelic/Celtic
Have you looked here? http://www.lexilogos.com/english/gaelic ... ionary.htm
and from there to Ogham the phrase "I had forgotten"
Look here : http://ogham.lyberty.com/otable.html
to better comprehend such a process and how the beautiful and intriguing language of Ogham, while seeming to not possess all the letters of the English alphabet, still articulates and communicates exquisitely.
That is very complex (and depends upon your historical perspective of whether you want to know ancient, medieval or modern Gaelge)
A beginners guid is here: http://www.standingstones.com/gaelpron.html

A detailled study is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_phonology
